Johnson County Old Settlers’ Association, Inc. was established 1898 as an organization that supports the communities of Johnson County Kansas. We hold our event each September, the weekend after Labor Day. We are a 501(c) 4 not-for-profit organization.
“Our mission is to continue this long held tradition to plan, promote and hold an annual “reunion” of Old Settlers once each year during the month of September in the form of a parade, arts and crafts booths, commercial booths, not for profit food vendors, and free concerts for all age groups." - from Articles of Incorporation -1955 (modified)
We also give back to the community! We offer fundraising opportunities for local not for profit groups. We have contributed to the Olathe Fire Department's Fire Safety House for barriers used by the city of Olathe. We have purchased two stages and bleachers for the City of Olathe. We have donated to the Gold Star Monument. And we have awarded scholarships to Johnson County high school students.
