Parade

The Parade is the kickoff for Saturday's events! After the parade you can enjoy food, fun and entertainment that is located right off the parade route.

Saturday 10AM-noon

The 2026 Grand Marshal is Bill Garton. Bill has been a dedicated leader in the Olathe community since 1957. A World War II U.S. Army Air Forces veteran and former owner of Tandem Truck Service, he has devoted decades to improving Olathe through business, education, transportation, and civic service.

Alongside his late wife, Mary Lou, Bill was a strong advocate for the Kansas School for the Deaf and the deaf community. His lifelong service has been recognized with the **2018 Cathedral Builder Award**, Olathe's highest honor for public service, and the **Olathe Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year (Lifetime Achievement Award)**.

Bill's lasting commitment to Olathe continues to inspire generations of community leaders.

Location: the parade begins at the intersection of Kansas and Loula; it travels EAST to Water and then NORTH to Park; it will then head EAST and end at Buchanan Street

Prior to the parade, beginning at 8AM, the side roads will be shut down to clear the area for the parade and assembling of the entries.

*Access to the garage will be shut down by 8AM for the Parade and then reopen immediately afterwards.

Max of three entries per vehicle/business/organization/politician
Spaces available are first come first serve.
Proof of $1,000,000 General Liability Insurance is required and must name Johnson County Old Settlers Association, Inc. as a certificate holder.
